Fist off - the race is sponsored by Hammer nutrition = Heed sports drink. This stuff is TERRIBLE!!! They need to switch to Gatorade - That's my preference and obviously the hundreds of others refusing to drink that crap.
Second - The swim course was marked with 12" beach balls that were nearly impossible to see; most decent races use the 4 foot buoys. The swim finish was marked with 3 large orange 4 ft diameter orange balls that were 100 ft to the west of the ACTUAL swim exit.
