I am a cyclist who occasionally does some triathlons and this race course is perfect for me. The lake is very clear and the run course has some hills, but the highlight of the race is the bike course. It has plenty of mountain vistas with a steady, gradual climb, a short, somewhat steep climb, and a nasty kicker after the arrow straight descent through Nuremburg. Those who hate hills should STAY AWAY from this course, but the thrilling descents, winding climbs, and spectacular vistas make this a race worth trying. I have a house on Lake Choctaw, so I am very familiar with all 3 courses and trained on them in preparation for this event. This is both the hardest and most enjoyable sprint triathlon I have done.
