I won't be doing this race again until they repair the road. It was to the point of being dangerous. I hated the feeling of being on the verge of flipping over my bars because of the crappy roads. I'm glad I had strong rims because they would of been tattered if there was any weakness.
If they don't get the roads updated, I would suggest bringing a mountain bike with front and possibly rear suspension.
