Love this event. This is my first time racing the Malibu Tri but not my first tri event. The volunteers were very helpful. The swim was a bit rough but that can obviously not be changed. Loved the bike race. I have run the course before so I knew that one. Overall a very professionally organized event. Most of all - a great cause!

The finish was poorly organized. The beginning was poorly organized. There were no pictures available for us to purchase. There were people getting injured because the run path would transition into sandy areas. Everyone's time started at the same time, even though they didn't cross the start point at the same time. What's the point of paying for timing chips if they're not even going to be used? There were barely any sponsors there and most of them were hawking their shoddy wares.

Malibu Tri was decent. Swim was quite challenging considering the current. Thought the race was overpriced for what you got. T-shirts could have been nicer.

Great event this year. It was amazing how much support there was along the course. The race is getting too big to support in the same space. Swim start was crowded and transition was chaotic! Not sure if i'll do it again though.

Best race on the west coast. Last year J.Lo, William H Macy, and Matthew Mcconaughey all competed. The race gets a ton of press and is very well organized. I had a great time.
