I have done this race for a few years. In the past it has been stellar; however, 2010 it seemed less professionally run. Overly crowded, and management did not seem to be prepared for the athletes. Day one packet pick up did not have all items prepared for distribution. Not enough bathrooms, at least a 45 minute wait; Swim - Day before race, meeting stated wetsuits allowed, race morning less than one hour before start..no wetsuits! I can handle the no wetsuit, but was not prepared so I swam in tri jersey that parachuted when I swam. Hundreds of people choose not to participate. The swim with barely negligable current, seemed longer than 1.2 miles, and many people were dq'd. Bike route ok...got tight in spots with cars and athletes. Run - hot hot hot, needed more water stations. The finish line volunteers extremely tenative to all finisher needs. One hose to cool down hundreds of people post race finish. Post race party - nothing spectacular. Awards drawn out and a bit confusing as they tried to distibute slots.
