If you love the thought of cycling past vineyard after vineyard on your way to a hot hot run, then this is the course for you! This was my first 70.3, and I'd been warned about the heat so I knew what to expect once my 13.1 mile run started just after 10:30am. (The heat and exposure on the run is the only reason I rated the run "difficult" instead of moderate).
Also, be prepared to set up two transition areas about 15 miles apart (T1 by the river in Guerneville and T2 at Windsor High School).
